Beatrice Gutierrez, Legal Secretary

Ms. Gutierrez works directly with Attorney Heather L. Poole in assisting with case compilation and keeping our clients informed on developments in their family-immigration and marriage-based immigration cases. She also regularly assists the Attorney with document assembly and case compilation in abused-spouse and unlawful presence waiver cases.  She regularly assists the Attorney out in the community at educational and speaking engagements.

Juliana Moran, Law Clerk

Ms. Moran is a second year law student at New York Law School. She is working with Attorney Heather L. Poole and our clients on a special immigration internship with our office. She is assisting Attorney Heather L. Poole in assisting with case compilation and brief writing in family-immigration and marriage-based immigration cases. 

Juliana has worked with US Citizenship & Immigration Services' I-130 unit, assisting in legal research on fraud marriage appeals and has worked as a research intern at a successful New York city immigration firm prior to joining our firm. Sara Rondon, Paralegal

Sara Rondon is a paralegal with HEATHER L. POOLE, PC, Professional Law Corporation. Ms. Rondon has years of experience in U.S. immigration law, working with the Attorney on marriage and family-based green card cases and special immigration protection for victims of crime and domestic violence.
 
Sara also has years of experience and expertise in the domestic violence restraining order procedure under California law, having worked in the court system for over 10 years.  Sara regularly trains hotline advocates for Haven House, the oldest domestic violence shelter in the U.S., on the latest changes in temporary and permanent restraining order changes in Los Angeles county court procedure.
 
Sara completed her Bachelor's of Arts degree in Liberal Studies and is fluent in Spanish and English.
 
Sara is of Cuban descent. Her parents immigrated to the US before Sara was born and her grandfather still owns a farm in Cuba.  In her spare time, Sara is a soccer mom and enjoys traveling and sleeping (she's a mom!). Mindy Reeves, Paralegal

Mindy Reeves is a paralegal with HEATHER L. POOLE, PC, Professional Law Corporation. Ms. Reeves has years of experience in U.S. immigration law, having worked for the largest business-oriented immigration firm in Southern California before joining our firm. She worked directly with Attorney Heather L. Poole, on consular processing, citizenship, family cases, and Violence Against Women Act green card cases.   Her experience and passion is primarily focused in family-based green card procedure and compilation.

Mindy attended the American Immigration Lawyers Association National Conference in 2005, 2007, 2008, and 2010 with Attorney Heather L. Poole and is a member of the National Network to End Violence Against Immigrant Women. She attended the National Network Conference in 2002, to collaborate with colleagues on key developments in the Violence Against Women Act's provisions for immigrants. Ms. Reeves is also a member of the Orange County Paralegal Association's Immigration Section, through which she remains apprised of current developments in immigration law that could affect our clients.
 
Mindy has an Associate of Science degree in Paralegal Studies and is in the midst of completing her Bachelor's of Science degree in Criminal Justice.
 
Mindy Reeves is of native-American descent.  She is one of the last remaining members of her Costanoan tribe, which descends from the Blackfoot Nation from Montana.  In her spare time, Mindy, a sports fan, takes live stats of sporting events for Cal Poly Pomona and Cal State Fullerton Athletic Departments.
